1. Keep your marriage a priority because you are a team. If you can't work together then parenting will always struggle. You need your person and your person should be your spouse!

2. Buckle up and Trust God! Raising a child with special needs is exhausting and many times very lonely, God is there and He sees, knows, and cares about every moment of our journey. It is important to remember God calls us to things that may be messy but what a blessing and beautiful story He writes even in the messy.

3. You will never be able to research enough to get the information to know everything you might experience.

4. Don't let medical needs overwhelm you! There are so many resources and helps out there and this is a specific reason I have this website and support group. I want to be there to advocate, support, and love fellow moms walking in the trenches.

5. Be a Mama Bear! You must and will many times be the only one advocating for your child. You must be willing to be the Mama Bear!
